Drone footage from Sir Francis Drake Channel shows a 2023 three-cabin cruiser reaching at seven knots — and still open to charter income.
Some walkthrough videos take you below first. This one starts in the breeze. Chesnee Cogswell of BVI Yacht Sales shot the drone footage for S/V Vulgarie Machin on March 27th, during a sail in Sir Francis Drake Channel with a couple of friends aboard — full main up, roughly 15 knots of wind, and the 2023 Dufour 390 Grand Large heeling into a broad reach at a solid seven knots.
It’s a short clip, but a telling one. Sailing at around 145 to 150 degrees off the wind, the boat looks settled and easy in Caribbean trade-wind conditions — exactly the kind of sailing most buyers in this market are imagining when they shop a 39-footer in the British Virgin Islands.

Three cabins, two heads, charter-ready
Cogswell describes this as the three-cabin, two-head version of the Dufour 390 Grand Large, and notes she has remained in excellent condition. That layout is the practical choice for owners who want to sleep guests properly — or keep the boat earning.
On that front, buyers have options. The yacht is available to stay in charter with Dream Yacht for another couple of years, under a choice of programs Cogswell is happy to walk through. Alternatively, she can be taken out of charter and, in the broker’s words, “sailed into the sunset.”
