Chris White Catamaran designs are custom built boats by professional boat builders or can be home built. Chris White pioneered the foredeck cockpit first appearing in his Atantic series catamaran design and now featured on many cruising catamarans. He also invented the unique MastFoil rig, which can be described as two large jibs on booms set fore-and-aft in front of twin masts encased in fully rotating airfoils, but this hasn’t caught on. To say Mr.White is an innovator of catamaran design would be an understatement. Although known as a catamaran designer, as opposed to a builder, his contribution to the evolution of cruising catamaran design must be noted.
