Endeavour is a famous west coast of Florida boat builder founded in 1974. In 1988 after a long successful run of building mostly monohull sailboats, Endeavour went out of business. After several changes in ownership, it became the builder of multihulls called the Endeavour Catamaran Corporation. Bill Symons, a fiberglass multihull builder on Long Island, had a 28-foot cat-rigged catamaran designed by Rob Ladd and licensed the molds to Endeavour in 1990 called the Intercat 1500. After making some design changes, the Endeavourcat 30 was introduced in 1992.

Pat Reischmann contracted Endeavour to build the Manta 38 in 1994. They started building Mantas along with the Endeavourcat line of the 30 and 36. They also built 34 and 35 foot models under the Endeavour brand. In 2001 Manta Catamarans changed management and ousted Endeavour from the manufacturing process. Endeavour continued to build a few Endeavour 44 models before ending production in 2004.
