{"id":377,"count":6,"description":"The Stealth 11.8 is presented in the listings as a lightweight racer\u2011cruiser from Alan Carwardine\u2019s STEALTH series, blending performance-oriented hull forms with comfortable accommodation and deck layouts. Carwardine, of Asia Catamarans, is cited as designing boats that prioritize speed without sacrificing onboard livability, and the Stealth 11.8 follows that intent with clean lines, generous open living areas and accessible side decks and foredeck.\n\nOperationally the design emphasizes usability in warm climates: the undercover cockpit limits direct sun exposure while promoting airflow, and the twin steering stations afford broad visibility from the helms. Listings note functional sail controls configured for short\u2011handed sailing, which, in practice, reduces crew requirements for both cruising and club racing scenarios and aids safe, efficient handling under sail.\n\nAs described for the available hull Hurricane (2012), the Stealth 11.8 has a racing pedigree while remaining set up for comfortable cruising. That particular example served as the designer\u2019s personal boat from 2012\u20132018 and is now with a second owner; it is described as well sorted and optimized for immediate use in either racing or cruising roles. Maintenance and systems upgrades cited in the listing include new bottom paint applied in 2023, replacement propulsion units in 2021, a Victron 400 Ah battery bank installed in 2021 with two 180 W flexible solar panels and controllers, and a new sail cover in 2024.\n\nFor prospective owners assessing the model, the Stealth 11.8\u2019s combination of performance design elements and cockpit protection makes it particularly suited to tropical and sub\u2011tropical boating where ventilation, sun protection and short\u2011handed sail handling are priorities. The available listing positions the type as a refined compromise between competitive capability and cruising comfort, with a documented history of race success for at least the example offered.","link":"https:\/\/www.yachtsite.com\/brand\/stealth-11-8\/","name":"Stealth 11.8","slug":"stealth-11-8","taxonomy":"brand","parent":379,"meta":[],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.yachtsite.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/brand\/377","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.yachtsite.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/brand"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.yachtsite.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/brand"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.yachtsite.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/brand\/379"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.yachtsite.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/reference?brand=377"},{"href":"https:\/\/www.yachtsite.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/yachts-for-sale?brand=377"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
